The Boys A soccer team has been led by captains, Jordan W. and Bilal K who have been meeting weekly at lunch with Coach Zurn and Coach Van Ness to talk through strategy and game plan.  The team has a a strong core of eighth grade leadership in defensive specialists Cameron P., Dominic D, and Alasdair M. as well as offensive threats Owen S. and Gabe S.  Future team leadership is coming from seventh graders Brayden S., Giacomo B., Christian A., Roman D, Waylon, V., and Jack R.  The goal has been expertly defended by seventh grade goalie, Chase A.

Game highlights thus far include two "Bend it like Beckham" goals by Bilal and Owen; inspiring defensive leadership from Cameron; incredible speed at the forward line from Gabe; regular, precise crossover passes from Jordan; amazing dribbling jukes by Roman and Giacomo in the midfield; smart and decisive defensive aggressiveness by Alasdair, Braydon, and Dominic; a spectacular ricochet goal from Jack; power control at the midfield from Waylon; persistence and determination through injury from Christian; and of course, increasing defensive generalship from goalie, Chase.

The Boys A soccer team has its final home game on Monday at 3:45 versus Nativity School.  Nativity School narrowly bested St. Michael's in a scrimmage earlier this year.  Team captains, Bilal and Jordan, and the entire team invite all to come cheer on our side as it tries to complete a comeback victory!
